Hi! I’m Matt.

I’m a user experience designer with almost a decade of experience in finance and payments. My background in economics and media informs my research-backed, collaborative design philosophy.

I craft elegant solutions to complex problems by partnering closely with product managers, product designers, and legal teams. And guided by strong ethics as well as an insatiable curiosity, I thrive on helping people access the right information at the right time.

To date, my work has shaped the financial lives of more than 20 million customers.

Personal highlight: In 2023, I was interviewed for a Wall Street Journal article about bond investing.

A few personal details

In addition to design, I love sports, music, and food.

Sports: I love pick-up basketball, rock climbing, and spikeball. I’m also a HUGE hockey fan. (Let’s go Ducks!)

Music: I’ve played the piano since I was 4 years old—and as crazy as it sounds, I own a real piano while living in Brooklyn.

Food: My love language is sharing food. I love to cook Thai curries and learn new recipes. Japanese & Mediterranean cuisines are my favorites. I also LOVE the Great British Baking Show.

I’m originally from Los Angeles, California, and I currently live in Brooklyn, NY.
